Agile Space Industries Appoints Jason Wright as President
Agile Space Industries, a Colorado-based developer of in-space chemical propulsion products and services, has announced the appointment of Jason Wright as President, effective early October 2026. The move strengthens the company's operational leadership as it continues to scale production and delivery of monopropellant and bipropellant engines, propellant tanks, and integrated propulsion subsystems.
Wright joins the company alongside Chief Executive Officer Chris Pearson, who retains his strategic and board-facing responsibilities. Agile Space Industries announced the leadership expansion on 28 September 2026, noting that the company is expected to reach approximately five times its 2022 revenue by the end of 2026.
Agile's Growth and Market Position
The company currently operates across four U.S. states—Colorado, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Washington—and employs more than 165 people. Growth has been driven by rising demand for advanced in-space propulsion and propulsion testing services.
Wright's Role and Background
In his new role as President, Wright will lead the day-to-day management of Agile's business, with responsibility for operations across the company's locations and delivery of current product and service contracts. He will also oversee near-term sales, marketing, and business development efforts supporting Agile's existing products and programmes.
Wright brings more than 25 years of space industry experience. He previously served as a subject matter expert at Lockheed Martin, specialising in monopropellant and bipropellant thrusters and dual-mode propulsion systems. During his career, he has held leadership positions in propulsion engineering, manufacturing, testing, and operations. He also served as operations director for a propulsion manufacturing centre and managed programmes with more than $100 million in profit-and-loss responsibility.
His background spans civil, defence, intelligence, and commercial space sectors, including work with NASA, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Space Force, DARPA, the intelligence community, and commercial satellite operators.
Strategic Division of Responsibilities
With Wright overseeing day-to-day operations and near-term execution, Pearson will continue to lead Agile's long-term strategy, board and investor relations, strategic business development, and technical direction.
Chris Pearson, CEO, commented on the appointment: "Agile has built tremendous momentum, and the opportunity in front of us continues to grow. Jason brings exactly the kind of propulsion, operational and program leadership experience we need as we focus on execution at greater scale for our customers. His experience leading complex propulsion operations and overseeing delivery for blue-chip space customers will be invaluable as we continue building out the company."
In a statement, Wright said: "Agile's innovative approach comes at an important time for the US and space industry at large, as increased launch availability creates new missions and growing demand for in-space propulsion. My focus will be on driving operational excellence, meeting our commitments to customers and ensuring we can continue to respond rapidly to evolving propulsion needs as Agile grows."
